Secaucus, New Jersey is located nine miles north of Newark, four miles west of New York City and just two miles from the entrance of the Lincoln Tunnel to Manhattan. This is the home place of Meadowlands Sports complex, where you can find the New York Giant’s Football Stadium, Meadowlands Racetrack and Continental Arena. This is a flat marshy area of New Jersey, crossed by a compound of interstate highways, intersections and roads. You can see numerous warehouses, light manufacturing places, office buildings and industrial parks in Secaucus. There are some restaurants, small shops, shopping mall, filling stations, expedience stores, mixture of factory discount outlets, conventions centers and variety of hotels in Secaucus.
Next to Secaucus, North Bergen is the major area located one mile east of the city. It is only one mile from the entry to the Lincoln tunnels. You can see some nominal price hotels just behind route 3 in Bergen. Comparing to Harmon Meadow Mall, this area is not as much suitable. It is commonly a commercial area with few restaurants and shops, those you can access easily, and also you can get accommodations in normal rates.
Secaucus, the Flexible City
If you are on the way to New York City, Secaucus is the preferred place to stay and enjoy. It is easy to get accommodations here and the accommodations are very cheaper comparing to Manhattan. You can directly save 25% of room charges here and the parking fee is just $35 for whole day. It is easy to reach the Harmon Meadow shopping Mall. Sundays are preferred to visit Manhattan to experience the excitement.
Visit to Manhattan
Apart from Busses it is possible to take Weehawken Ferry to Manhattan. To get the ferries to New York, you have to travel east on route no 3 till the last way out before Lincoln Tunnel, it is commonly the exit for “Hoboken”. You can find the huge parking area on the banks of the Hudson and the charges are $6 for whole day parking. The charges for a ferry ride to 38the Street Pier in Midtown is just $5, this includes a free shuttle bus trip to various places around Midtown Manhattan.
Sundays are preferred to visit Manhattan, because on Sundays the traffic is very light and you can get on street parking places to park your vehicle. Parking charges also very low on Sundays.
